To our GSs, IPs and Colleagues,
We all know what a difficult and confusing time this is for everyone. There is so much uncertainty for everyone involved and we are all trying to provide a safety net, information and support to all who need it. It has always been our mission as an agency that our entire staff be available to offer support and assistance whenever needed. Please rest assured that our Case Managers, Surrogate Coordinators, other staff members, and Lauri & Kathryn are all available and working from home — so please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us with questions or concerns.
While the American Society of Reproductive Medicine is recommending suspension of all new treatment cycles, if you are currently in cycle or looking to start you should check in directly with your own clinic to see what their specific protocols are. CA is now entering a period of Stay in Place, but not all states are enacting this same policy. Each clinic is currently addressing this pandemic differently and we want to make sure you are being provided the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding all medical-related matters. Here is a link to the ASRM guidelines:
For those of you who are pregnant, please reach out directly to your RE or OB’s office to see if you have any specific new restrictions that your doctors feel are necessary. We are attempting to do so too, but sometimes IPs get through to these offices faster. As the situation is evolving daily, we have yet to see how OB offices are being affected but appointments still seem to be moving along at this time. For the IPs, please be assured that we will do all we can from our end to keep you informed and to help keep your GSs safe and up to date with their doctors.
In regards to any upcoming legal issues, we are carefully monitoring what is going on in this area as well. If you have questions you can come to us or go directly to your attorneys.
For those IPs and GSs who are unmatched, this may be a great time to get all your paperwork up to date. For Intended Parents who will need egg donors, it may be a great time to find one. Our egg donor database (as well as others) are available to review during this slow down and questions can be answered during this time. Many industry offices are up and running remotely. Doing some groundwork now will allow everyone to get things prepped for when the restrictions are lifted and we can all move forward again. Of course, we are here to help through all of this and and we are hoping for a relatively short downtime.
We are all in this together and we will continue to monitor the COVD-19 situation closely and follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies (as well as your attorneys, doctors and insurance agents) so we can continue to support our surrogacy family and staff. Again, please feel free to reach out to any of us at the agency for additional support.

We know these are challenging times but if we work together, we will get through this. It remains our priority to help all of you navigate through this so that we can still end up with healthy surrogates and healthy babies! Thank you all for being part of our surrogacy family! Please remember we are here if you need us.
All of our best wishes,
Lauri & Kathryn
